Social Events & Catering – International Show
During the 23rd International Welsh Pony & Cob Show, the focus is not only on the Welsh Pony, but above all on connection, atmosphere and bringing together the international Welsh community.
The event already begins on Thursday evening with the International Meeting for studbook representatives. On Friday, the show starts during the day with the performance classes and continues into the evening with a relaxed BBQ Night. Saturday features the in-hand classes, followed by the highlight of the social programme: the Welsh Celebration Night.
From informal and relaxed to festive and connecting – there are plenty of opportunities for every participant to enjoy the event both in and outside the ring.
Friday 21 August – Welsh BBQ Night at the showground
After a first day full of sport and performances, we warmly invite all participants to join our informal and welcoming Welsh BBQ Night at the showground.

The Welsh BBQ Night is all about coming together and enjoying a relaxed evening. We provide a complete barbecue, offering a variety of freshly prepared salads and a selection of different grilled meat dishes.
In a friendly and informal atmosphere, you can reflect on the day, meet new international contacts and enjoy time together with fellow exhibitors and visitors. Whether you connect at the BBQ or at the bar, it is all about sharing the moment.
There is no formal programme – just a relaxed evening focused on enjoyment, connection and good company.
Saturday 22 August – Welsh Celebration Night at Hotel Papendal
After the second show day, dedicated to the in-hand classes, we invite you to the absolute social highlight of the event: the Welsh Celebration Night.

Price: €55,00 per person
Location: Centre Court, Hotel Papendal (within walking distance of the showground)
Drinks: not included
Guests will be warmly and festively welcomed upon arrival, setting the tone for an evening where sport, celebration and connection come together.
The evening includes:
- A festive welcome drink
- Music by a live DJ in an atmospheric setting
- An extensive hot and cold buffet with live grill, featuring a variety of dishes such as steak, fish, burgers and vegetarian options, complemented by fresh salads and side dishes
- Plenty of opportunity to meet others, catch up and celebrate the show together
- And of course, a chance to enjoy the dance floor
A special element of the evening is the charity auction in support of the Bio Manege in Arnhem. This organisation enables people with disabilities to experience horses and benefit from the positive impact of equestrian sport. With your participation, we contribute together to this meaningful cause.
The Welsh Celebration Night is the moment where the international Welsh community comes together and celebrates the event in style.
Sunday 23 August – Farewell Breakfast
On Sunday morning, we conclude the event together with the Farewell Breakfast at Hotel Papendal.

During this breakfast, participants, judges and organisers come together one final time in a relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect moment to reflect on a successful international show, share experiences and say goodbye.

Social Events & Catering – Internationale Show
Tijdens de 23rd International Welsh Pony & Cob Show staat niet alleen de WELSHPONY centraal, maar juist ook de ontmoeting, de sfeer en het samenzijn binnen de internationale Welsh-community.
Het evenement trapt donderdagavond af met de International meeting voor de besturen van alle stamboeken, de show begint op vrijdag al overdag met de gebruikersrubrieken en krijgt in de avond een vervolg met een BBQ Night. Zaterdag start dan de dag met de in hand showrubrieken en in de avond de grote feestavond de “Welsh Celebration Night” Van informeel en ontspannen tot verbinden en feesten: er is voor iedere deelnemer volop gelegenheid om het evenement ook buiten de ring te beleven.
Vrijdag 21 augustus– Welsh BBQ Night op het showterrein
Na een eerste dag vol gebruik en prestaties nodigen wij alle deelnemers uit voor een gezellige en informele Welsh BBQ Night op het showterrein.
Aanvang: 18:00 uur

Drankjes: op eigen rekening
De Welsh BBQ Night staat volledig in het teken van samenzijn en gezelligheid. Wij verzorgen een complete barbecue, waarbij je kunt genieten van een gevarieerd aanbod aan gerechten. Denk aan diverse frisse salades en een selectie van verschillende vleesgerechten van de grill.
In een ongedwongen sfeer kun je napraten over de dag, nieuwe internationale contacten leggen en samen genieten met andere deelnemers en bezoekers. Ontboet elkaar bij de BBQ of aan de bar, we maken er met elkaar een gezellige avond van. Geen formeel programma, maar juist een avond waarin gezelligheid en verbinding centraal staan.
Zaterdag 22 augustus– Welsh Celebration Night bij Hotel Papendal
Na de tweede showdag, waarin de aan de hand rubrieken centraal staan, volgt het absolute sociale hoogtepunt van het evenement: de Welsh Celebration Night.

Bij aankomst worden gasten feestelijk ontvangen en begint een avond waarin sport, gezelligheid en ontmoeting samenkomen.
De avond biedt:
- Een warm welkom met welkomstdrankje
- Muziek met DJ in een sfeervolle setting
- Een uitgebreid warm en koud buffet met live grill, met onder andere diverse gerechten, Steak, vis, burgers en vegetarische opties, aangevuld met frisse salades en bijgerechten
- Ruimte om elkaar te ontmoeten, bij te praten en het succes van de show te vieren
- Uiteraard kunnen de voetjes van de vloer!!
Een bijzonder onderdeel van deze avond is de veiling voor het goede doel: de Bio Manege in Arnhem. Deze manege biedt mensen met een beperking de mogelijkheid om in aanraking te komen met paarden en te genieten van de positieve effecten van paardensport. Met jullie deelname dragen wij hier samen aan bij.
De Welsh Celebration Night is dé avond waarop de internationale Welsh-familie samenkomt en het evenement in stijl viert.
Zondag 23 augustus – Farewell Breakfast
Op zondagochtend sluiten we het evenement gezamenlijk af met het Farewell Breakfast.

Tijdens dit ontbijt komen deelnemers, juryleden en organisatie nog één keer samen in een ontspannen sfeer. Een mooi moment om terug te kijken op een geslaagde internationale show, ervaringen uit te wisselen en afscheid te nemen.
